| Summer 2001 saw the introduction of the B.67 model sprung saddle. The B.67 takes the popular top of the B.66/B.72 and mates it with the single-rail sprung frame that has proven so popular in the Flyer series saddles. Upright-style cyclists will now be able to enjoy the comfort of the B.66 without having to use an adapter to mount their saddle on a modern micro-adjust post. |

Pictured on the left is the B-67 in Antique Brown. The upper right picture compares the B-67(R) to the B-67 'S' model(L). In the lower right picture, the homney B-67 shows the new chrome springs. The 'S' designation is one way that Brooks identifies a women's model saddle.'S' stands for short and the women's saddles are a little shorter and sometimes wider than their counterparts. |

(Comments, reviews, and essays are welcome and appreciated - especially by other cyclists that are considering one of these saddles.)
"I just wanted to tell you how much I love my new Brooks 67-S saddle. As a novice to bike riding (my first time in over 25 years), I must tell you how comfortable this seat makes riding the streets of New York City -- we have all those potholes! I must confess, my current commute is barely a half mile, but I am hoping that in time, I will venture forth and actually make it the 5 miles from my home and manage a round of Central Park!"
"Inasmuch as I love my new saddle, I also wanted to tell you what a joy it was to make my purchase with you. Everything was perfect; and your attention to my order was more than I could have asked for. Actually, it felt like YOU were my local bike shop!"
"The B67 is wonderful. Even out of the box, I knew we were to be married. After 400 miles the springs are finally breaking in. All other saddles caused me pain and discomfort/numbness. I suspect that the Brooks line would work for the vast majority of cyclists. The word just needs to get out there. I wish there was a Ti version of the B67. "
Comments are excerpted from e-mail correspondence with customers and Brooks owners. I have tried to fairly represent the range of comments that I have received about these particular models and I have also tried to avoid taking comments out of context. Parenthetical italicized elements are editorial insertions. -Bill

us an email: "The
Brooks saddle (B-67) is in a whole different class than my old saddle, in terms of quality of construction, design, and comfort. It immediately improved the riding experience." |
Mark Ludlow has made this Raleigh Twenty into a sweet little commuter. He capped it off with a B.67. |

| Mimi Boothby likes the B.67 on her tandem. Smoky looks like he could use a Brooks on his ride. |
