Shipping, Warranty, and Other Information

Shipping

We use UPS Ground as our standard continental US shipping service.
The shipping charge is $5.00 for orders under $20 (up to $19.99) and $8.00 for orders $20 and over.
We reserve the right to ship orders under one pound USPS Priority Mail.

If possible, we prefer that you have your order shipped to a COMMERCIAL ADDRESS. We certainly understand if this is not possible but we save a little money with UPS when the delivery is to a commercial address and it helps to keep the shipping costs down for everyone.

Exceptions to this standard;

AK/HI - UPS is too expensive for the 49th and 50th state. We calculate the cost of your order and request payment for the balance over $8.00.
International orders including Canada - call or e-mail for quote. We ship these via insured US mail. We charge you the actual cost. There are two classes of airmail; Priority (6-10 days) and Express (5 days). Express will be about 10-20% more but it is trackable where Priority is not trackable. We prefer Express shipping because many customers are quite unhappy when they find out they can't track their package.

When asking for a shipping quote we need to know exactly what you want to order. We box the order and weigh it. If you add something to the order after we give you a price for shipping then we have to do it again.

Sometimes we can save a little money on international orders by taking the product out of the box that it comes in. This is particularly true with saddles. Leaving the Brooks box in the shop can make for a lower shipping cost. Please let us know if this is how you want us to do it.

Delivery Problems

If you place your order through PayPal, please make sure your address is entered correctly. We are charged, and we will charge you, a $5 or $10 fee for any address corrections that are not our fault. If you contact us before the order is picked up by UPS, there is NO charge.

When we prepare a UPS order we give them your e-mail address, if we have it, and their Quantum View system should send you a message late in the afternoon on the day of shipment with the tracking number and other delivery details. Sometimes this notification gets lost in spam filters and sometimes we get your e-mail address wrong and you don't get this notification. If that is the case, please contact us the next day and we will be glad to give you your tracking number.

If you need to contact us about an order for any reason please try and provide the date you ordered and your name. Particularly if you ordered online throught the PayPal system. The only sort that we have in our PayPal history is by date. The order number is useless to us because we can't look your order up with it.

Hours

Business hours here at WBP are 9:00am to 5:30pm CST, on weekdays. (sometimes 5:00 on Friday). If you want to call we will be glad to talk with you about Brooks saddles and the other neat stuff that we carry. If we're not here, please leave a message letting us know what you are interested in and a good time to call you back. (Don't forget to let us know what time zone you are in.)

Warranty
We honor all manufacturers warranties for the products we sell. In addition, we offer an UNCONDITIONAL SATISFACTION GUARANTEE on most of our products.

6 Month UNCONDITIONAL SATISFACTION GUARANTEE - new BROOKS saddles. Return your new saddle at any time within six-months of the ship date for a full refund of the price of the saddle. Shipping will not be refunded unless there is a manufacturing defect that would make the return a factory warranty issue.
30 Day UNCONDITIONAL SATISFACTION GUARANTEE - Almost everything else we sell, with a couple specific exceptions, listed below.
No UNCONDITONAL SATISFACTION GUARANTEE - Books, magazines, tea, waterbottles, tires and tubes that have been used. Tires and tubes must be returned in their original packaging so we can re-sell them as new to be eligible for a refund.

WBP and your Local Bike Shop
Your local bike shop is probably run by cycling enthusiasts who sincerely want to help you enjoy the sport of cycling. Their knowledge and time is a valuable resource, and they deserve your support. If they carry Brooks saddles, or Carradice or Berthoud gear, I encourage you to give them your business. It has been our experience, however, that many shops find that the local demand for these products does not warrant stocking it. The national market that we reach enables us to carry a comprehensive line of Brooks saddles and other esoteric cycling equipment.

Advertising - your club newsletter?
We enjoy supporting cycling organizations with our advertising dollars. If your club newsletter would carry a WBP ad, then please send us a copy along with the number distributed and the rate for a small ad.
