Berthoud Frontbags Basic

The Gilles Berthoud line of frontbags* take their style from the traditional Sologne line of French touring gear. These bags are made from cotton fabric with high-grade leather trim.

There are two versions of the GB frontbag: Basic and Luxe. Luxe add some embellishments to the Basic bag:

• leather strap and buckle closure for pockets
• zippered pocket inside lid along with card window
• large leather patch on bottom
• D-rings for included shoulder strap

Some of our pictures show both Basic and Luxe bags for comparison. Basic bags named 22, 25, 28. Luxe bags are 2286, 2586, and 2886.

These bags come in three heights. This is so the top of the bag, when sitting in position on your rack, can be slightly below the handlebars.

*a "handlebar bag" is carried by the handlebars with no other support. A "frontbag" rests on a rack. Any connection with the handlebar will be for stability.
