Veronique Durand is the sole bag maker at Gilles Berthoud.

As it happened, she was working on a batch of Wallbike bags when we were there, mid-June, 2002. Completed bags are in the bin behind her.

On the edge of Veronique's sewing table are rolls of the thin goatskin that are used for edging and the seam piping on some of the bags.
