Pont de Vaux is situated in one of France's wine producing regions. We are by no means conniseurs but Erin wanted to bring home some French wine and, since Gilles professed to being a wine enthusiast, she asked him to take us wine shopping. He graciously agreed and took us to a little warehousey place where the main business was in bulk wine dispensed into the customers container from 6 foot stainless vats.

Gilles said that he preferred the product of the smaller regional vintners and he pointed out a few that he approved of. Erin ended up buying these six bottles for about 35 dollars. We don't know much about their pedigree and they were a chore to haul around for the rest of the trip but our friends have enjoyed the bottles that have been opened so far and they make for a good story.
