The Professional 'S' on the right is compared here to the Professional and the Finesse. The Finesse has a few miles on it and you can see how the honey colored saddles darken as they absorb moisture.
"I was surprised that my wife found hers fairly comfortable from the "get go". She's never owned a Brooks saddle before and I expected quite a few complaints. Once I adjusted the nose-height, to keep her from slipping forward on the newly polished surface (boy, there's nothing like nicely tanned leather) she was just fine."
"Alice and I finally got out for a test ride today on our
tandem with the new/used Team Pro S, and am afraid she and Brooks are not met
for each other! Tried all positions and adjustments, but for some strange
reason, she was just in too much pain - and not only in the seat area, but in
her back, arms, and neck. We came home (aborted the ride after 17 miles), and
put her old Avocet back on, and all was well with the world again.
Perhaps part of the problem is the clamp design on the Tamer seat post; can't
seem to slide the saddle far enough aft. Or maybe the rails are too short to
allow enough aft adjustment......."
Comments are excerpted from e-mail correspondence with customers and Brooks owners. I have tried to fairly represent the range of comments that I have received about these particular models and I have also tried to avoid taking comments out of context. | Erin Laine's Brompton T5 with a Team Pro 'S' "handle". | Marge Yonda sent us a picture of her brand new Bruce Gordon tourer with a Team Pro 'S' installed. Marge thinks the honey saddle goes pretty good with her green bike. We think the whole rig is looking good! |
